The Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial District, Ahmed Zannah, is dead.
He died on Saturday at the age of 60.
His death came less than a month after the demise of another Senator, Uche Chukwumerije.
The Senate Committee Chairman on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Enyinanya Abaribe, confirmed the death of his colleague, adding that prayers were ongoing at the National Mosque, Abuja, for the repose of Mr. Zannah’s soul.
Sources close to the senator’s family revealed he was battling with an undisclosed ailment, which left him partially paralyzed.
It was further learnt that Senator Zannah had only just returned to Abuja on Friday after a medical trip overseas before the cold hands of death snatched him earlier today.
Details of his burial as of the time of this report, had not yet been announced.
