Barcelona Sign Samuel Umtiti For €25million

Barcelona have signed French Central Defender, Samuel Umtiti from Ligue 1 club, Lyon for a fee of €25million (£21million).

21 year old Umtiti signed a five year deal and Barcelona fans will be excited following his impressive showing at the just concluded Euro 2016 tournament. Umtiti was given the first team after he impressed against Iceland and was given nod ahead of Mangala. He eventually showed that he is perhaps miles of the Manchester City defender.

Umtiti has a minimum release clause of  €60million (£50.6million) and will help Barcelona’s thin defensive options.
