commendable camera setup.
Announced originally at the Zenvolution event in Taipei, Asus has finally announced an official date, August 17th for their latest flagship Zenfone 3’s arrival in India. It is, however, uncertain as of now whether the Taiwanese giant will be bringing the entire series including ZenFone 3, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and the
ZenFone 3 Ultra at the same event or will roll out devices in phases like they did last year.
To recap, the base variant – Zenfone 3 features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS panel, a fresh design
overhaul flaunting a metal unibody metal and is priced at $249 overseas. It is
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3/4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of internal storage which is
expandable and a 3000mAh battery. The camera arrangement includes an 8MP front-facing lens,
16MP rear shooter and the phone also supports all the networking bands and takes power input via a
USB Type-C port.
The Zenfone 3 Deluxe that resided on a way better premium category was launched with a powerful Snapdragon 820 processor, 23MP rear camera, AMOLED display and costs 499$. Furthermore, Asus also introduced a separate variant running the Snapdragon 821 which will mostly likely won’t be launched this month.
Lastly, the Ultra model, as the name suggests, comes with an enormous 6.8-inch screen which
does a fair chance of entering the Indian market this month given some recent entrants including
Xiaomi’s Mi Max and Samsung’s J Max.
Nevertheless, India is Asus’s one of the biggest market and they’ve been performing consistently
well here through their budget series. You can find more details about the devices
